A good example of need the mobile laboratory is analysis of nitrogen trichloride in chlorine. Nitrogen trichloride (NCl3) is a highly explosive by-product in chlorine production by membrane electrolysis technology. Concentration of NCL3 must be monitored because it poses an explosion hazard to the plant and may cause severe industrial and ecological catastrophe.
